What is inside
108 8.5 x 11 inch pages, black and white, built from 50 two-page records, a worked example, a summary spread and a page on getting started.
How a record works
- Open the book anywhere in the record section and you get one wide table across both pages
- The names sit once on the left, in 30 numbered rows, in any order you like
- The session columns carry on across to the right page, so a name written once serves all 21 columns on that record
- Every row ends in its own totals for present, absent and tardy
- A notes line on both pages of every record, for anything you will need to explain later
Columns are sessions, not weekdays
You write the date at the top of each column as you go. A class that meets five days a week and a team that meets twice a week both fill every column, so nobody is handed a page of days they cannot use. There is no printed year anywhere, so a book started in March is not half spent.
The five codes
- P present, A absent, T tardy, E excused, and N for a session the whole group missed
- The key is printed on the left page of every record, so you never turn back for it
- A box on every right page for how many sessions you actually held, so a row of totals can be read against something

- A page on getting started, including what to do when you mark the wrong box, miss a session, or someone joins partway through
- A completely filled-in example record, both pages, so anyone stepping in can see exactly what to write
